BUKLOD BAYANI PROGRAM

The Buklod Bayani Program is a business sector-led platform where organizations can practically discuss and collaboratively resolve interconnected issues which would have, otherwise, slowed down the country’s progress. Initiated by its lead convener, the Rotary Club of Makati Central (RCMC) Foundation, the Program is supported by the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), Philippine Chamber of Mines, Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), ASSIST Asia, San Miguel Corporation, Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), and the Naval Special Operations Command (NAVSOCOM), among others.

“Aside from social quotient, there is adversity quotient – how you cope with the problems? We have to raise that confidence to our children. For this country to progress, Every sector has a role to play. Like for each company to have their own policies. We have a lot of things to do on the ground, a lot of collaboration.”

HON. BENJAMIN D. ABALOS, JR.

“300,000 NGOs and civil societies, organizations and
community based organizations… If we take and look at 1
percent of them, around 3000 of them, enable them to take any
of the programs we are doing, they will be our partners making
the actual community initiative.
Community based organizations, sometimes registered or
unregistered, are very very resilient. They can be catalysts on
what we can do.
We will face a lot of members of the communities with different
points of views – we have business sector, we have young
people’s movement. We can actually have responsible
people coming forward.”

Managing Director, Asia Society for Social
Improvement and Sustainable

“We are supporting digitalization to increase
efficiency and financial inclusivity. And even
healthtech, to make sure health will reach the
far-flung areas – to push telemedicine. We have
around 900 hospitals under the MVP group. At the
end of the day, it is the health of the people we are
prioritizing.”

Chairman, Chamber of Mines in the Philippines
MVP Group of Companies Representative
