Mr. Roberto “Bobby” A. Alvarez, Jr.

Secretary General

Bobby Alvarez is a natural builder who has a penchant for community work and is notorious, in a positive way, for bringing projects to scale. His holistic and realistic approach to sustainable community development includes housing and livelihood projects for indigenous peoples affected by natural disasters and armed conflict. He is recognized by the Normandy Chair for Peace for eco-governance, lowering carbon emissions in real estate development, and JCI Philippines’ Gawad Sanghiran Awards for his outstanding accomplishments in nation-building, innovation, and efficiency of program and service. A real estate developer who owns and oversees more than a dozen companies, Bobby is keen about providing great service and customer satisfaction. His success in business led him to the discovery of other bottom lines and the impact of these inspired his insatiable desire to make a difference.


Atty. Jose D. Lina, Jr.
Deputy Secretary General

Passion and purpose run through the veins of Joey Lina whose heart has always been set on the Philippines sustainable development. His exemplary track record in government service span 22 years. The youngest senator at 35 years old, Joey Lina authored 35 landmark legislations including the Lina law, Barangay Day Care Law, mandatory membership to the Pag-ibig Housing Fund, among others. As governor and secretary, he led his constituency to become the country’s #1 province in economic development and championed the autonomy of local governments. While currently the General Manager of the iconic The Manila Hotel, Joey Lina, who is also a distinguished tenor, journalist, and broadcaster, finds joy in organizing events for social causes and helps organizations make sense about issues and solutions.


Dr. Adriana “Din” A. Mabanta

Executive Director

A medical doctor by profession, Din Mabanta found it difficult to accept death tolls due to poverty so she experimented and applied business concepts to the delivery of basic services. Her quest for solutions led her to Singapore where she learnt more about social enterprises and impact investing. Relentless about improving skills and systems, she completed her master’s in development management at the Asian Institute of Management, where she also managed the Executive Master in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management. Her two decades of development work are focused on strategy, organizational development, and program and project management. She spoke with fellow social innovators about An Enterprising Southeast Asia at the Societal Leadership Summit during the 50th anniversary of the ASEAN.
